Scope Of Position
Candidate will work closely with CFO assisting in all areas of financial and manufacturing accounting that are assigned day-to-day accounting operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies, and objectives.
PREFERRED RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION – ACCOUNTINGESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / COMPETENCIES / SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING:
- Assures that the assigned day-to-day accounting operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies, and objectives.
- Assists and assures internal controls are defined, current and adequate.
- Assures costing is accurate and correctly utilized in processes and the ERP system
- Maintains costing method for all inventory items, in cooperation with the Procurement team
- Develops nonstandard reports and statements, i.e., those containing cash forecasts reflecting the interrelations of accounting, cost budgeting, or comparable information.
- Ensure within the limits of delegated responsibility, makes day-to-day decisions concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions.
- Understands and strong alignment with other departments (logistics, production, sales, and information technology).
- Focus on Profit and Loss defining key performance indicators.
- Identification of cost savings opportunities and efficiency gains.
- Assists with preparing tax returns and financial reports for internal use and organizing massive fiscal moves in and out of the business.
- Monitors the Inventory and related Reserve Policy to ensure compliance.
- Significant data mining activities using public and private informational sources.
- Finance or Accounting required – 4-years college degree
- Required – 5 to 7 years related work experience in accounting and/or finance.
- Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing environment – experience required
- Preferred – Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in progress
- Required – Experience using Windows, MS Office, and ERP / CRM Software.
