Field Service Technician-Mechanical

Reports To: Field Service Manager
The Mechanical Field Service Technician functions as a significant contributor in Vericor’s Field Service team. The ideal candidate will leverage prior experience and knowledge to provide customer service and support for Vericor engines and components in the field. The position requires the candidate to be detail oriented and have the ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and external customers to ensure compliance, understanding, and customer satisfaction.

The Mechanical Field Service Technician functions as a significant contributor in Vericor’s Field Service team. The ideal candidate will leverage prior experience and knowledge to provide customer service and support for Vericor engines and components in the field. The position requires the candidate to be detail oriented and have the ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and external customers to ensure compliance, understanding, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Provide dedicated mechanical support for a single customer field service events (scheduled maintenance, upgrades, unplanned
maintenance, and warranty work) for Vericor’s engines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot gas turbine engines, collaborate with Vericor engineering as necessary.
• Performs assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and test of gas turbine engines, modules, components, and accessories to assure
compliance to technical data, contractual obligations, and company standards.
• Travel as needed to support the mechanical efforts for commissioning of customer’s new engines in the various geographical areas and
carrying out other duties as assigned.
• Be available for on-call support after hours and weekends
• Uses machines, tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, plant equipment and consumables necessary to carry out the required tasks.
• Ability to follow and understand related company instructions, MOTOR, company processes, overhaul manuals, and original equipment
manufacturer's manuals.
• Maintain necessary documentation for all work performed.
• Demonstrate commitment to superior customer service and high-quality standards.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with assembly and maintenance, repair, & overhaul (MRO) of gas turbines engines and components.
- Detail oriented, diligent, well-organized, proven track record of delivery on time.
- Ability to effectively present both verbally and in written format, clear, concise technical summaries to internal management and external customers.
- Experience with computer software, such as MS Word, and Excel or similar tools.
- Ability to master skills required to become a Qualified Technician within 6 months of hire.
